Here’s what our members are receiving this week! 

Green Cooking Apples

These apples are an early variety called lodi, which are best used for cooking, because they are too sour to eat fresh. Make sauces, chutney, jams, or bake in the oven with some sugar and cinnamon.  

Apple Butter  

We used the Lodi apples to make this sweet apple butter for this week’s share.

 Blackberries

Blackberries are wonderfully nutritious. Eat them fresh, bake them into pancakes, or enjoy as desert with whipped cream or ice cream.

Cucumbers

Enjoy them fresh in salads and sparkling water! 

Spanish Lavender

This lavender variety is best used to season savory dishes. It is also an excellent type for aroma-therapy purposes.

 Garlic

Yum! Garlic goes great with the spring onions for seasoning any dish.

Wild Cherry Plums

These delicious little bite-sized plums are just ripening on the wild cherry plum trees in the food forest.
