Week 20 Harvest Share 2016!
It’s the last week of this year’s Harvest Share!
Cheers to CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) and a heartfelt thanks to all of our customers and volunteers who have invested in Winslow Food Forest this season! As your farmers, we had a rough year weather wise, and experienced a lot of crop failures. We kept plugging along though with YOUR support, and our friendships with fellow farmers and the resilience of the perennial crops in the food forest kept us going even when it got tough. Hopefully I’ll be back soon with a better update on the future plans of Winslow FF! Until then, happy harvest and stay cozy!
Check out the recipe button below for an awesome combo of Sage butter and Sunchokes!
Strawberry Popcorn (added value)
While you could let this heirloom corn dry more for making popcorn, we’d recommend saving it for seed for your own garden so you could grow it next year! We think it’s such a cute little popping corn!
Also known as Jerusalem Artichokes, these nutritious tubers are another easy abundant root vegetable to grow in a forest garden.
Get another dose of garlic to ward of colds as the weather turns rainy.
