Goat Dairy Herd Share

Goat Dairy Herd Share

Located in the Hood River Valley, our goats are fed organic grain, alfalfa, and hay. After working on farms for years in Oregon and Washington we realized there was one common hurdle for our friends and family to eat healthy, local food: the price. No one we knew could afford it.

We set out to farm in an ecologically responsible way with a social mission: to make good, healthy food affordable to everyone. We sell everything on a sliding scale. If you are unfamiliar with sliding scale pricing, there’s a price range on every product. If you can only afford the lower end- that’s great, that’s why it’s there! If you can afford it and would like to pay a little more, you are welcome to do so.
We want healthy, fresh, nutritious food to be accessible to everyone regardless of income. We think people that have the means will pay a little more so that those that can’t will still be able to eat healthy and our books will balance in the long run.

We go beyond organic in our farming practices. We use holistic herd management and rotational grazing so our animals have the healthiest, happiest lives possible while at the same time building soil health. To see more of what we’re doing look at our

We can’t wait to feed you!

How the Herd Share Works

Under state law we cannot sell raw dairy to consumers. However if you are a herd share member you are entitled to your share of the dairy products because you are part owner of our goats. We milk them, we board them, we make the cheese and yogurt, you get to enjoy delicious goat dairy products! A herd share is a CSA for raw dairy in the state of Oregon.

This is a special collaboration between Fair Food Farm and Winslow Food Forest.

All dairy shares are ADD ONs available only to members of the 2017 Harvest Share
